POLICE want to trace this woman following the theft of bank cards which lead to more than £1,000 being taken from the victim’s account.
Officers have released CCTV footage following the theft from a tea room in Printing Office Street, Doncaster town centre.
A 62-year-old woman was having lunch with friends when her bag was searched and cards and £60 cash was taken between 11.30am and 1.30pm on Thursday, December 8.
The victim’s bank cards were used in the same time period to withdraw £600 from ATMs and buy goods worth £540 from shops in the Frenchgate Centre.
Police are asking for help in tracing the woman pictured as they want to speak to her in connection with the incident.
Insp Amanda Hunter said: “This is a very unfortunate incident this close to Christmas and I would urge anyone who can help to identify the woman to please come forward to enable us to continue with inquiries.
“I would always advise people to never keep pin numbers with bank or credit cards and to ensure personal belongings are always kept close and in view.”
