Man charged with farmhouse murder appears in court

Raymond Wild, has appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court today charged with the murder of his wife, who was found dead at a Doncaster farmhouse.

The 51 year-old, dressed in a white shirt and light blue fleece, spoke only to confirm his name.

Mr Wild is next due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court for a bail hearing later this month.

Mr Wild was charged with the murder of Sheila Wild on Saturday (March 1).

A post mortem examination found that 49 year-old Mrs Wild died from strangulation.

Police discovered the body of Mrs Wild when they broke into her isolated home on Thorne Road in Blaxton on Wednesday night, after her family raised concerns about her welfare.
