A 93-year-old woman in Denaby has become a victim of burglary as thieves ransacked her bedroom while she lay in bed.
The elderly woman was woken to noises in her home in Denaby at some point between 10pm on Sunday, 26 October and 8am on Monday, 27 October.
A man then entered her bedroom and is believed to have gone through all her drawers while she was laid in bed.
A number of items were stolen from the woman’s home including her purse and a flat screen TV.
PC Carl Glossop investigating said: “The victim is understandably traumatised and incredibly distressed by what has happened.
“I would urge anyone who has information regarding this incident to please contact the police to assist in finding those responsible.”
