Doncaster arrests made in murder investigation

Detectives have arrested two men in Doncaster in connection with the murder of a man in Hackney, east London, at the weekend.

Moses Fadairo, aged 25, was shot in broad daylight on a busy street in Hackney on Saturday.

Five men have been arrested in connection with the case – with the latest made on Beckett Road, Wheatley, on Wednesday.

Armed South Yorkshire Police officers supported officers from the Metropolitan Police Service at around 7.30pm.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder and a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

They both remain in police custody in Doncaster and are expected to be transferred to London.

Eyewitnesses said the road was cordoned off during the police operation.

Officers, specialist firearms officers and the London Ambulance Service were called to Chatsworth Road, Hackney, at 1.14pm on Saturday.

An unnamed 27-year-old man, from Greenwich, south east London, has been charged with murder, attempted murder and possession of a firearm.

He was arrested in Birmingham on Tuesday and was due to attend Thames Magistrates’ Court yesterday.

Two other men, aged 23 and 25, arrested in connection with the incident have been released on bail.
