Detectives launch appeal after Doncaster teen involved in ‘suspicious’ taxi incident

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 16-year-old boy was involved in a ‘suspicious’ incident after getting into a taxi with two woman and a man at Doncaster train station. 
The incident is believed to have occurred between midnight and 1.30am on Sunday, October 18, when a 16-year-old boy was at Doncaster train station after being out with his friends.

It is reported that the teenager got into a taxi, when a number of people joined him and travelled to Sheffield.

The teenager was reported missing by his family and officers found him in Sheffield city centre.

Detective Sergeant Rob Cobley investigating said: “At this time, we are not sure whether any criminal offences have taken place but we are keen to establish the circumstances surrounding the teenager’s disappearance.

“From our enquiries so far, we understand the teenage boy was talking to two women and a man before getting into a taxi with them in Doncaster.

“We’d like to hear from those individuals, as well as the taxi driver or anyone that might have seen the teen in Doncaster or Sheffield that evening, so we can retrace his steps.”
