A man was ordered to carry out unpaid work after a collection of motoring offences on the same day.
Sam Stevens, 24, of Bramley Court in Denaby, was punished after admitting to all of his offences which included taking a car without consent, not having insurance and driving over the drink limit on February 24.
He was found to have taken a Ford Fiesta without consent and was stopped by officers along Balby Road.
Stevens was also caught being nearly twice over the limit when 65 microgrammes of alcohol was found in 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
The offender was ordered to carry out 120 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months under supervision.
The defendant was disqualified from having a licence for 17 months which can be reduced if he completes an approved Secretary of State course “satisfactorily” by January 13, 2014.
With no insurance, Stevens was also fined £150 and ordered to pay costs totalling £145.
