A WOMBWELL man has been jailed for life for the murder of Rawmarsh man Shane Beadling earlier this year.
Forty-one year old Mr Beadling’s broken body was found on Bartholomew Street, Wombwell on the evening of July 20. A post-mortem examination revealed he died as the result of multiple injuries.
At Sheffield Crown Court today, Judge Alan Goldsack QC found Garry Count, 32, of Bartholomew Street, Wombwell, guilty of murder, and put him behind bars for life, to serve a minimum of 16 years.
Thirty-one year old Kerry Musgrave, also of Bartholomew Street, received an 18 months prison sentence in total, for conspiring to pervert the course of justice.
Following the tragic death of Mr Beadling, who lived at Potterdyke Avenue, Rawmarsh, his family told of their heartbreak and devastation at his loss.
They said: “Shane was the kind of person who would do anything for anyone, and he had many friends in the area where he lived.
“Shane had his problems, and tended to move around a lot, but he always kept in touch with his family, and we will miss him terribly.”
