BREAKING NEWS: Girl with links to Barnsley missing

POLICE are appealing for information about the whereabouts of two 15 year old girls, one of which has links to Barnsley.

Karla Dodd and Aneta Zakova went missing from their homes in Oswaldtwistle, near Blackburn, Lancashire, around 8pm on Saturday, March 2, and it is believed they went missing together.

Karla, who is known to have links to Barnsley, did return the following day but went missing again later that evening and was last seen near the Co-op on Union Road in Oswaldtwistle around 8pm on Sunday, March 3.

It is not known at this stage whether the girls are together or not.

Karla is described as white, of slim build, around five feet four inches tall with dark, collar length hair.

She was wearing black leggings, a turquoise, Adidas hooded top and dark coloured Ugg boots.

Aneta is described as white, of stocky build, around five feet inches tall with shoulder length, dark brown hair.

She was wearing a black hooded top and black tracksuit bottoms.

Aneta may have travelled to the Greater Manchester area.

Lancashire Police are appealing to anyone who has any information about either of the girls’ whereabouts to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Julie Cross said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the girls’ welfare due to their young age.

“If anybody has any information about their current whereabouts or knows where they may have been since Saturday then I would urge them to contact us.”
