Arsonists wreaked havoc across South Yorkshire last night - setting fire to a JCB, a car, rubbish and a skip.

The JCB was set alight in a compound on Watch House Lane, Bentley, Doncaster, at around 10.45pm.

Firefighters extinguished the flames to prevent them spreading.

Earlier in the night crews tackled a skip set on fire on Clarke Avenue, Edlington, Doncaster and rubbish found burning on wasteland off Windmill Avenue, Grimethorpe, Barnsley.

A Vauxhall Corsa was also torched on Club Garden Road, Sharrow, Sheffield.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101.
