Crash victim supports fundraising campaign for Yorkshire Air Ambulance

A South Yorkshire student who was seriously injured in a motorbike accident is backing a fundraising campaign Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Shona Fraser suffered multiple injuries, including a broken pelvis, a fractured thigh, two broken wrists, a collapsed lung, fractured eye socket and a broken jaw in the crash on the Dearne Valley bypass in August.

The 21-year-old graphic design student, at Sheffield Hallam University, was airlifted by Yorkshire Air Ambulance to the Northern General Hospital, said: “Quite simply, if it wasn’t for the air ambulance and the brilliant paramedics, I would not have made it.

She is urging people to sign up to the 175 Campaign, where they aim to raise at least £175 in 175 hours between November 8 and 15.
