Community cash up for grabs

FOLK are being urged to have their say on how a new charitable fund should be spent.

The Tweenbridge Wind Farm Community Benefits Fund will become available in 2012 for groups in Thorne, Moorends, Hatfield, Hatfield Woodhouse, Sandtoft, Stainforth, Fishlake and Belton.

The South Yorkshire Community Foundation will deliver the funding. People can have their say at an open day taking place between 10am and 1pm and 2pm to 4pm on January 18 at Moorends Miners’ Welfare and Community Development Centre in West Road.

The money being provided by E.ON will see £55,000 per year made available in grants for 25 years.
