a Halloween Fright Night will take place at a Rawmarsh park for the first time.
The town’s young folk have organised the October 31 spinechiller at Rosehill Victoria Park.
It will include ghost walks, games, live music, a disco and barbecue, with proceeds to Breast Cancer Research.
Young members of the Rawmarsh Voice and Influence Group have worked on the event for the last month with Rotherham’s Youth Service, along with Safe@Last, the local SNT, Know the Score, Groundwork Dearne Valley and Rawmarsh Community School.
They researched the history of the park buildings and created costumes to be used for the Ghost Walk around the “haunted hall”.
The Mayor of Rotherham, Coun Shaun Wright, will support the event, to which young people from across Rotherham are invited.
The fiendish fun runs from 6pm to 9.30pm, priced £1.
