A GROUP of Scawsby residents are helping an injured former soldier to get closer to his Paralympic dream.

Latin Gardens and Emley Drive Tenants’ and Residents’ Association (TARA) has just raised a further £200 for Craig Wood 20, of Woodlands.

Craig lost his legs and a hand in a bomb blast in Afghanistan in 2009 and has an ambition of being part of the 2016 sailing team for the Paralympics which will be held in Rio De Janiero.

The money was raised by TARA members carrying out a raffle at an event at Skellow Grange. The TARA has now raised £500 for Craig.
