Cars set alight in arson attacks in Sheffield

Firefighters dealt with two cars set alight in arson attacks within five minutes of each other in Sheffield.

The first involved a Renault Megane found burning on Water Slacks Road, Woodhouse, at 4.40am today.

At 4.45am a 4x4 was fired on the A630 Sheffield Parkway.

Police were alerted to the incidents.

Last night crews dealt with a pile of rubbish set alight in a field off Strauss Crescent, Maltby, Rotherham.

And a fire in a house on Rawmarsh Hill, Parkgate, Rotherham, was down to a fault with an electricity fuse box.
