This is no shaggy dog story.
Tia Rescue, which is based at Mill Race Farm, Wroot Road, Finningley, held it Christmas fair over the weekend, raising money for the work it carries out.
The day included craft stalls, Christmas gifts and cards for sale, and Santa’s grotto.
Tia Rescue is home to up to 100 greyhounds and lurchers, Shire horses, two miniature donkeys and a menagerie of other animals.
The charity is now in its 18th year and it is run entirely by donations from the public.
It wasn’t until 2004 that Tia became a registered charity.
It has gone from a few stables in a field in Sowerby Bridge to a very recent move to a 70 acre farm in Finningley.
