A DONCASTER boutique is investing in extra staff and e-commerce after bucking the recession with extra sales.
Robinson’s of Bawtry celebrates 25 years in business this year and says the launch of its first website has increased demand for its designer clothing.
The www.robinsonsofbawtry.com website supports the retail outlet in South Parade, Bawtry, which has taken on extra staff to cope.
Proprietor, Russell Jones, said: “We are pleased to have had to employ new staff to consolidate our growth this year and are delighted to welcome Bradley Hayes, designer, Josie-Marie our resident fashion blog writer, and advise on how to create the perfect look, Adrian Torr in our menswear department, and Lauren Glass in ladieswear,
“Our website was necessary to replicate changing shopping trends and has been a huge success.”
The new staff are also busy preparing for the annual charity fashion show, which was launched by previous Robinson’s owner Tony Robinson and has raised over £200,000 for Yorkshire Cancer Research.
It will be held on Sunday, October 16 at The China Rose restaurant, on South Parade. The charity fashion shows were started in memory of Mr Robinson’s first wife, who died from cancer.
