Try out job for a day

WOULD-BE firefighters can have a taste of the job as part of a recruitment drive this summer.

Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service, which covers parts of Doncaster, is holding several `Firefighter for a day’ events to give people an insight into the role.

The service is particularly keen to promote firefighting as a career to women and people from black minority ethnic backgrounds.

The firefighter days will be held at the Service Development Centre in Ollerton on Saturday July 21 and 28, August 11 (exclusive women-only event) and August 18. For details and to book a place email firefighterforaday@notts-fire.gov.uk
