Sheffield team’s cash windfall for charities after a year of fundraising

Staff at a Sheffield-based accountants have raised more than £14,000 for charity after a year of fundraising activities.

The team at Barber Harrison & Platt (BHP) took part in more than 30 events and activities including marathons, dinners, quizzes and fancy dress challenges.

The £14,143 total will be distributed across 26 charities, including the Sheffield Hospitals Charity, Ashgate Hospice in Chesterfield, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice in Sheffield and South Yorkshire animal charity Rain Rescue.

BHP Partner Jane Marshall praised staff and said: “Everybody at the firm has made a real effort.”
