Pet food firm moves from Doncaster

A DOG food manufacturer has quit Doncaster to expand into bigger premises to extend its product range.

Sneyd’s Wonderfeeds Ltd has moved into 25,000 sq ft premises in Scunthorpe, which it has refurbished after gaining financial backing from Yorkshire Bank through its £1bn Business Expansion Fund.

The business had previously been based in a 10,000 sq ft unit in Thorne since it was started by John Sneyd in 1995.

Managing director, Phil Judson, son-in-law of Mr Sneyd, said: “We had tried to buy land in Thorne, but to no avail, so are delighted to have been helped to move into fantastic new premises at Scunthorpe. We’ve also invested in new production machinery, which will increase efficiency and enable us to extend our range.”
