A MANVERS company’s new ‘green’ plant feeding system is set for substantial growth.

Envirofeed Limited has won an export order and secured a slot on the on-line shopping channel QVC.

The company, based at Century Business Centre in Manvers, was launched earlier this year by Bob Johnson after he received a £500 grant from UK Steel Enterprise’s Kickstart Fund.

Envirofeed created a simple system for turning green leaf kitchen waste and water in to organic liquid feed.

The two-person company hopes to expand after securing a 600-unit export order to Germany and widening its on-line base. Every aspect of its design, production and packaging is based in South Yorkshire with the tooling and extrusion manufacturing handled by local suppliers.

To apply for help from the Kickstart Fund call 0114 269 5053. Recipients must be aged 18 to 30 and live in Rotherham.
