Tonight is the night that the best and brightest business people will be honoured at the 15th annual Doncaster Business Awards.
This year’s glittering ceremony at Doncaster racecourse will see more than 600 business leaders gather to celebrate the business community’s success.
The event, run by Doncaster’s Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Doncaster Free Press, will see awards presented in 13 different categories that include: customer service, success through partnership working, excellence in overseas trade, and the ultimate accolade of business of the year.
Reporting a very high standard of entries this year, the chamber looks forward to winners who represent all sizes and sectors of business in this part of South Yorkshire. To be expertly presented for the second time by the BBC’s seasoned business correspondent Stephanie McGovern, the evening offers a great social and networking opportunity to those who attend, with food, drink and entertainment also in plentiful supply.
Among the nominees , and shortlisted for two awards is the Robin Hood Airport, which was named one of the country’s top three airports recently, following a magazine survey. Businesses with a DN postcode were invited to enter the awards for free, in as many categories as they wished.
The event, sponsored by Brewster Pratap, grows in stature each year and many businesses are hoping to win one of the coveted categories and the major award.
