THIS year’s Steam Toys in Lincolnshire at Owston Ferry was a huge success.

Now in its fourth year, the event is growing annually, and large numbers of the general public descended upon the Pumping Station-based event.

Exhibitors, who are all members of the Unofficial Mamod & Other Steam Forum (www.mamodforums.co.uk), travelled from as far as Wales, Scotland, Texas and the US Virgin Islands to put on what has been the best show to date.

A spokesman said: “A large variety of steam toys were on show from various manufacturers, some of which are very rare and it is a joy to see them at this annual event. The boating pool drew large interest, with members of the public even bringing their own steam boats to display and to sail.”
