Frenchgate store branches out

A WOMEN’S fashion store has opened its second shop in Doncaster and doubled its staff numbers.

Moda, an independent retailer, has opened for business in the former premises of Barratts shoe shop in the Frenchgate Centre. The move has led to the appointment of two new recruits as both outlets are now operating.

With six shops in the UK, Moda came to Doncaster’s Frenchgate Centre towards the end of last year. After just eight months it decided to expand into a second shop to meet customer demand and store additional stock.

The new ground floor unit, near homewares specialist Clas Ohlson, is three times the size of Moda’s original one, allowing the storage of extra clothing and accessories.

The move adds to the Frenchgate Centre’s fashion offering which includes dozens of stores for men, women and children.
