Doncaster’s very own Fairy Jobmother is aiming to sprinkle some more employment magic on the borough with the launch of her new business.

For Hayley Taylor will give free advice to one jobseeker for every paid client who enlists the help of her new consultancy firm.

The bold move comes as Hayley, 44, who appeared in the popular Fairy Jobmother television series helping people on both sides of the Atlantic get back into work, has opened her own employment agency in Nether Hall Road.

She is offering individual advice, including compiling effective CVs and confidence-building sessions, for those visiting her smart office, as well as going out to school, college and corporate training packages.

And the married mum-of-one, who lives in Warmsworth, is desperate to help lift Doncaster’s current employment gloom.

Hayley, who has worked in the employment sector for 20 years, said: “After the Fairy Jobmother I could have opened an office in London if I wanted to put the focus on money. But I didn’t.

“I wanted to stay in my hometown because this is a town like a lot of places - it’s an unemployment blackspot.

“If you’re going to do it - you do it on your own patch.

“Unemployed people can’t afford these services. So for every paid consultation I’ll give an unemployed person the same free.

“Unemployed people don’t have the same opportunities as people who are in a job.”
