A Doncaster mum is leading calls on employers to offer greater flexibility for workers.

Health technician Jayne Swift has an 18-month-old son, Jake, and relies on her family for childcare as her husband, Trevor, is often away with his job in the armed forces.

She is calling on employers to offer flexible working hours and time off for emergency childcare in her position as a Mumdex panellist for Asda.

The latest Mumdex report found 67 per cent of non-working Northern mums say crippling childcare costs would make them worse off in work.
