Coal company goes into administration

One of the UK’s largest coal producers that has its head office in Doncaster has gone into administration.

ATH Resources, based at Sidings Court, Doncaster which is the holding company for operators in Ayrshire, Fife and Dumfries and Galloway, was forced out of business on Wednesday.

Its main lender had responded to the company’s financial difficulties by demanding immediate repayment of its debt.

The Company’s principal trading subsidiary Aardvark TMC Limited is not in administration and continues to trade.

The Board will make further announcements as necessary in due course.
