A SPECIALIST glazing firm have opened their new headquarters in Manvers – with the promise that new jobs will be created.

Solaglas Insulation specialists were welcomed into their new 60,000 sq metre base at the Waterlands site by Rotherham Mayor Rose McNeely during an official opening on Friday.

Joining the Mayor for the official opening was company delegate Peter Hindle MBE, plus company delegates and more than 100 customers, suppliers and special guests.

The company, which specialises in the installation and maintenance of all glass products and emergency glazing, is expecting to offer new employment opportunities over the next two years.

Peter Hindle MBE said: “I feel strongly that Solaglas Insulation is in a unique position to sustain growth through its technical expertise, innovation and service ethos”.

Company director Ian Davy added: “The opening of Waterlands is key to the growth of Solaglas Insulation and part of our journey to become the clear market leader within the UK glass business.

“Our new base in South Yorkshire means that we are ideally positioned close to major transport networks which will enable us to deliver high-quality manufacturing and excellent customer service to our clients.”
