Badminton club aims to net record

THE Sheffield Forum Badminton Club is aiming to break a world record.

Twelve members of the club, which meets at Firth Park School, have set themselves a target of playing 28 hours non-stop on October 22 to raise £10,000 for the NSPCC.

IT engineer Richard Clarkson, aged 28, who works at Sheffield solicitors Graysons WE, said: “It probably sounds quite mad but we are all keen badminton players and have been practising hard.”
