Rhyme and verse is the order of the day at Crowle, after Axholme Academy pupils won their very own poet for fun-filled workshops.
Charismatic poet Terry Caffrey made his day-long visit after pupil Holly Fowles, 12, won him in a competition organised by Vision for Education.
English teacher Emma Brameld said: “Year eight pupils submitted entries, and Holly won with her poem about the seasons.
“The whole year thoroughly enjoyed hearing about Terry’s work, then producing poems and booklets themselves in a form shown to Terry Caffrey by Roald Dahl. It was a fantastic day.”
