DONCASTER security man Joe Harrigan has won an award for his work at the Frenchgate Centre.

Joe has scooped the British Security Industry Association Regional Security Personnel Award for service to the customer in Yorkshire.

Joe has been carrying out his role on a contract for the Frenchgate Shopping Centre for over four years. His ‘assertiveness and dedication to the shopping centre and the wider community’ are what have secured him the BSIA title, award organisers said.

Prior to working at the shopping centre, Joe was a policeman, and has used that experience to support his duties within the centre.

Joe attends various crime partnership meetings regularly, including the South Sector Neighbourhood Policing Team PACT Meeting, on behalf of the shopping centre.

He said: “Winning this award came as quite a surprise. The award has only really been made possible by my colleagues.”
