A HAWAIIAN theme night at a Wombwell pub raised hundreds of pounds for charity.
The recent fun-filled event saw staff and regulars dress up in grass skirts at The Horseshoe pub to raise around £450 for CLIC Sargent.
The charity supports children and young people with cancer and is the official charity of pub chain Wetherspoons, which runs The Horseshoe.
Manager Tom Reeve said: “It was a great do and everyone got into the spirit of it. It was held to coincide with ten years since the pub opened.
“That was a great sum of money to have raised and it will all go to a great cause.”
*A race night will be held at the pub on September 30 from 6pm onwards. All proceeds will go to The Children’s Trust.
