A strictly “adults only” day has been planned for a Wombwell nature reserve.
But prudes need not worry – the activities include pond dipping and mudlarks!
Mums and dads who have watched their kids get wet and mucky while learning about wildlife, can now jump in the mud themselves.
As part of a “back to childhood” experience, they can track bats, dissect owl pellets, wallow in ponds and share precious moments with a moth or two.
Julia Makin, visitor experience officer at RSPB Old Moor, said: “We run many successful wildlife events for children but why should the little ones have all the fun?
“This is an opportunity for grown-ups to take a trip back to the joys of more carefree days. We all have happy memories of being close to wildlife when we were young. This is a chance to relive those memories.”
Participants will be divided into small groups, with a dedicated guide to take them around the reserve. To book your place – on April 12 and May 7, from 10am to 4pm – call 01226 751593.
The cost is £30 including lunch.
