Adorable Amber is looking for a forever home in South Yorkshire.
This five-year-old black and white domestic cat was taken to Sheffield RSPCA, along with several other feline friends, after concerns were raised for her welfare.
Inspectors are now looking for a new owner for Amber and this could be someone who already has cats as she has lived with other animals previously.
A spokesman said: “This little poppet is Amber and she’s adorable.
“An inspector brought her to our centre along with several feline friends due to concerns for their welfare.
“Initially, Amber was extremely shy, she chose to hide during the day and only emerged at night to eat and use the facilities when she felt safe and the coast was clear.
“She would avoid eye contact, hide her face and pretend to be invisible but then after a few day and with some gentle persuasion, she decided we weren’t scary after all.”
They continued: “Amber gradually came out of her shell and with regular interaction, lovely chats and tasty treats, she soon became much more relaxed, and now enjoys a gentle fuss and grooming.
“As Amber is very shy initially and takes a while to relax around her new humans, she is looking for a home where any children are older.
“She is looking for a home where she can get used to her new surroundings at her own pace and build bonds with her owner.
“Could this beautiful girl be the perfect cat for you?”
