ANOTHER one of our Doncaster schools has achieved outstanding A-Level success.
Sir Thomas Wharton Community College has achieved its highest ever percentage of grade As with improvements in the number of grade A to B passes.
Some of the Edlington-based school’s success stories includes Emma Smith who was rewarded with one A*, four As and a B. Those grades mean she will go to study psychology at the University of York.
Alex Hill, who achieved three As and a C, will read physics at the Royal Holloway University London and George Brookfield’s two As, a B and a C means he will be able to study mechanical engineering at the University of Aberdeen.
On the departing year 13s, headteacher Mary McCorry said: “We are very proud of their achievements at Sir Thomas Wharton Community College and we wish them every success in their future careers.”
