A THURNSCOE woman has been fined for littering in Doncaster.
Kelly Smith, of Lidget Lane, was found guilty of littering and fined £85, ordered to pay £63 in costs and a further £15 victim surcharge.

Smith failed to appear at Doncaster Magistrates Court and the case was proved in her absence.

Doncaster Council has a zero tolerance policy against litter droppers and Mayor Martin Winter hailed this latest prosecution.

He said: "I am committed to achieving a cleaner, greener Doncaster for all residents. This recent prosecution shows how my zero-tolerance policy continues to be a hard-hitting message towards litter droppers that there will be no more second chances."
