POLICE are seeking witnesses after a police car was in collision with a pensioner's vehicle in Wombwell.
Two people suffered slight injuries in the incident at the crossroads where the B6096 Hough Lane continues onto Church Street and Summer Lane continues onto Kings Road at Wombwell, shortly after 7pm on Saturday. They were a 33-year-old woman police constable driving a marked white Ford Focus police car and an 88-year-old man from Wombwell, who was driving a red Citroen AX car.

Officers said the police car, heading from Wombwell on Church Street, was attending an immediate incident and collided with the Citroen travelling from Summer Lane.

Anyone who saw what happened or can help with information is asked to ring the Witness Helpline on 0114 2202970.
