DEARNE motorists will be pleased to hear that the third phase of he A638 Quality Bus Corridor (QBC) is now complete.
This is the stretch of the bus corridor along York Road between Jossey Lane and St Mary's Gyratory.

This section of the A638 QBC will open by Monday 1 September 2008.

The opening of the bus lane along York Road follows the highly successful launch of the bus lane in the South along Bawtry Road, where passengers are already seeing journey time reductions of up to twenty minutes.

Although the main stages of work along York Road are now substantially complete, the works to improve the traffic lights may mean lane closures, diversions and temporary traffic lights are necessary.

These last few elements of work are expected to be completed in the next few weeks.

Elsewhere on the A638 QBC, works are progressing well and the Park and Ride sites in the north and south open on 1 September 2008.
