A TEAM of Police Community Support Officers from Mexborough have qualified as rounders coaches.
15 local volunteers completed the preliminary awards in rounders coaching, including the four staff from the Mexborough Safer Neighbourhood Team at the Highwoods Base community centre.

The Mexborough Community Partnership funded PCSOs Craig Lee, Kairen Duggan, Annette Flavell and Samantha Newton through the course.

PCSO Supervisor John Barker said, "Thanks to the Mexborough Community Partnership for funding the PCSOs to achieve this award. It will no doubt be sustainable and put to good use in schools and the community to engage youngsters in an active life style and to encourage them to be involved with the safer neighbourhood team."
