A GYM owner has praised the police after they recovered an exercise machine worth thousands of pounds that was recently stolen from his health club.
A special 'virtual reality monitor', similar to the Wii Fit game, that gives tutorials on various forms of exercise including yoga was taken from the Empress Health Club in Mexborough overnight on Saturday (July 26).
Owner Ian Williams, 59, said the machine, worth around £7000, was very popular with gym users and he feared it would never be recovered.
But it was returned to the gym on Tuesday after police found it in the back of a car in Doncaster.
Ian, a former European Champion triathlete, said: "I am over the moon that this has been returned to me and I hope justice will now be done."
Police have arrested a 25-year-old man on suspicion of burglary.
