Recycling company to face court

A MEXBOROUGH recycling company is facing court - for allegedly operating an illegal waste treatment plant on the site of the huge tyre fire that left the town choking last month.
Grove Environmental Ltd, of Whitelea Grove Trading Estate, is charged with eight counts of illegally handling controlled waste, including offences of failing to have an environmental permit and "disposing of controlled special waste in a manner likely to cause pollution or harm to human health.

Patrick Russell Nuttall, of Mill Lane, Harlington is also charged with six similar offences in a prosecution brought by the Environment Agency.
