Promoting a healthy life

AN EVENT to promote healthy living is to be held at the School of Nursing and Midwifery in Wath.
The 'Healthy Life Event' at Humphry Davy House on Golden Smithies Lane will focus on encouraging young people aged 11 to 15 to lead healthy lives.

It will be held on Tuesday (July 1) between 10am and 4pm and will include various displays on road safety, drug awareness, sexual health, young parenting and smoking.

A number of local organisations will also be there to offer advice including Mexborough Childrens Centre, Mexborough Neighbourhood Youth Workers, the Fire Service with an engine and Police Officers.

Local schools have been invited to the event which is also open to the general public and will be held on July 1 between 10am and 4pm.
