A DINNER and dance evening in aid of the Aurora cancer care centre will be held at the Empress Ballroom on Friday (September 19) at 7pm. Tickets are £15 available from the ballroom on 01709 579293 or the Aurora Centre on 01709 321149.
FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a burning pile of rubbish behind a building on Park Road, Swinton on Wednesday at 12.05am. The crew checked out the adjacent building which had become smokelogged.
