A NEW fleet of buses is being introduced to serve the Dearne Valley.
Stagecoach Yorkshire's 13 new vehicles, which have cost nearly £1.5m, are an addition to seven buses introduced in the Dearne last year.

All 20 now carry a fresh logo bearing the words "the Dearne link".

The new fleet is to be launched in Wombwell tomorrow by the Minister of State for Transport and Doncaster Central MP, the Rt Hon Rosie Winterton.

Joining her at the launch will be eight local people who entered a competition run by Stagecoach to be the faces of the Dearne Valley services and have their image on the back of the buses.

Paul Lynch, managing director of Stagecoach Yorkshire, said: "We are delighted that Rosie Winterton MP will be joining us to help launch our new-look network.

"It really is a reflection of our commitment to deliver a reliable, clean and affordable service to the travelling public and we are confident that users will find a huge improvement."
