SHOPPERS at The Co-operative Pharmacy in Hoyland can have their cake and eat it … in aid of a good cause.
Staff at the Hoyland Health Centre branch, in West Street, will be baking cakes to sell to customers in aid of Barnsley Hospice.

They will be available between 9am and 6pm on Friday, 16 May. As well as collecting donations for the hospice, there will also be a fundraising raffle, with prizes donated by local businesses.

"We are a community pharmacy and we wanted to do something to involve local people," explained pharmacist Kajal Sheth. "It's to raise money for a very worthwhile cause, and we're all looking forward to doing some baking."
