WAGS have a big reputation for being immaculately groomed. And now the wife of a former Doncaster Rovers star has opened her own hair salon, allowing women to pick up tips on how to score in the style leagues.
Karlene Ravenhill, wife of midfielder Ricky, who helped the Rovers rise up the leagues and is now at Northampton Town, is now at the helm of Priority Hair Salon in Priory Walk in the town centre.
Karlene made the decision to take on one of the largest salons in the area after clocking up over 20 years’ experience in the business. “It has always been my dream to own my own salon and I am looking forward to this new and exciting challenge,” she says.
“We are open and busy already and my vision is to offer a first class service.”
The team includes Nick Waldron, who previously worked on Caribbean cruise liners and at Saks in Scunthorpe, where he was part of the elite Saks A Team and a L’Oréal colour specialist.
Next month nail and beauty technician Chelsea Brook arrives.
Priority relaunches on Thursday, March 6, with a visit from some of the Doncaster Rovers First Team. Players will be bringing along the League Trophy and taking onboard some style tactics from the experts.
That evening the salon stages a showcase of its styling services and gets a visit from the civic mayor, Councillor Eddie Dobbs.
Guests will be treated to goodie bags and discount offers and be able to have one-to-one consultations with the stylists.
A silent auction in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice will be staged, with a signed Doncaster Rovers shirt, an Elements Spa experience and a hamper of luxury L’Oréal products up for grabs. For an invite, call the salon on 01302 367733.
