The Cribs reveal new single and European festival dates

The Cribs

The Cribs

Hot on the heels of news of their fifth album, ‘In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull’, reaching Number 9 in the charts - the band’s second successive Top Ten album, following 2009’s ‘Ignore The Ignorant’ - The Cribs have announced details of a brand new single.

The Gary Jarman penned ‘Glitters Like Gold’ is the opener on the album and has already proved to be a crowd favourite, having been performed on the band’s recent UK tour. A somewhat more introspective track than previous outings from this album, ‘Glitters Like Gold’ has already picked up plaudits in radio world leading nicely into a summer of festival appearances both in the UK and further afield.

The band will be returning to North America in early June to continue what has been their biggest US tour to date before heading off to Japan. On their return they head north of the border for this year’s T In The Park festival and late summer also sees an appearance at Reading/Leeds Festival – the band’s full summer festival itinerary is :

July 6th Balado/Scotland T-in-the-Park

July 10th Turin/Italy Spazial Festival

July 11th Bologna/Italy Rocker Festival

Aug 16th St Polten/Austria Frequency Festival

August 18th Hasselt/Belgium Pukkelpop

August 19th Biddinghuizen/Holland Lowlands Festival

August 21st Belfast/N.Ireland Vital Festival

August 23rd Dublin/Ireland Marley Park

August 25th Reading/England Reading Festival

August 26th Leeds/England Leeds Festival

Released on July 8 (through Wichita Recordings), ‘Glitters Like Gold’ will be available digitally and on ltd 7” vinyl via all usual outlets.
