IT’S not every week a world champion comes to town but snooker’s number one Judd Trump will be potting as many balls as he can tonight.

Just days after returning from a tournament in China, the newly crownedworld’s top player will be bringing world-class snooker to the table at The Dome in Doncaster.

The Premier League snooker fixture will see the 23-year-old potting sensation take on Northern Irish player Mark Allen.

Top 16 players Mark Selby and former world champion Shaun Murphy will also take each other on during the course of the evening.

Matchroom Sport chairman Barry Hearn said: “The league has always been about taking top-class snooker around the country and allowing fans who don’t perhaps live near to one of the major tournaments the opportunity to see the biggest names in the game.

“This year we are returning to some of the successful venues from the past as well as charting new territory for snooker in towns like Penzance and Spennymoor.

“With all of snooker’s big ticket sellers taking part I expect tickets to be snapped up quickly.”

Each match is over six frames and there are two points for a win and one for a draw. At the end of the league section, the top two in each group advance to the play-offs.

Tickets £18 and concessions £15. Under 14s must be accompanied by an adult. Call 01302 370777 or visit www.the-dome.co.uk
