The world’s top darts players will be returning to the region as part of the Premier League Darts tour.

Players including 16-time world champion Phil Taylor will be stepping up to the oche for the Sheffield leg at the Motorpoint Arena on Thursday, April 10.

The 2014 Betway Premier League Darts will be the largest in the tournament’s history as the world’s best ten players compete over 16 weeks for a record £550,000 prize fund – the second largest prize fund in the sport behind the PDC World Championship.

Aside from arrows legend Taylor, the line up includes Michael van Gerwen, reigning Premier League champion, five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld and two-time world champion Adrian Lewis.

The season kicked off in Leeds with nine weeks of action as the ten players face each other once, before the bottom two players in the league table are eliminated following “Judgement Night” in Cardiff.

The remaining six league nights, from week ten to 15, will see the remaining eight players face each other once more, before the top two players progress to the play-offs at The O2 in London.

Each night will start at 7pm and be screened live on Sky Sports HD.

Tickets are on sale now via the ticket hotline and are priced from £22 to £44, including booking fee.
