good things truly come in threes at this Christmas with a trio of shows that make the perfect festive treat.

Polish those glass slippers as this year’s all-singing, all-dancing panto Cinderella kicks off the Christmas season at Sheffield’s Lyceum from tomorrow.

With a fantastic cast, including the hilarious Damian Williams, children’s favourite Ben Faulks (CBeebies’ Mr Bloom), the wonderful Jonathan Ansell (G4) and the brilliant Sue Devaney (Dinnerladies).

Over at the Crucible, acclaimed actor and local lad Dominic West makes his musical debut as Professor Higgins in heartwarming musical, My Fair Lady, alongside Carly Bawden (The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe) from Wednesday.

Artistic director Daniel Evans said: “It’s a pleasure to work on such a brilliant, witty, well-crafted musical, based on the play by George Bernard Shaw. Everyone is familiar with the story and sensational songs and I can’t wait to welcome our audiences through the doors.”

Finally, York Theatre Royal presents the perfect family treat, Rapunzel by Mike Kenny.

It is a delightful new production for children aged three and above about the curiosity and joys of growing up and is being staged at the Studio from Wednesday.
