Ghosts and ghouls are set to take over one of Britain’s biggest stately homes.
Wentworth Woodhouse in Rotherham will celebrate Halloween in style with ghost walks, a spooky maze and a pumpkin treasure hunt.
Youngsters and their families are invited to Spooktacular, in which the Grade I-listed country house and grounds will be decorated with cobwebs and creepy characters, on Saturday, November 2.
There will be live music, a disco, market stalls, hot food and drinks and fireworks.
Spooktacular starts at 3pm and lasts until 8.30pm.
Admission is £5 for adults, £3 for children under 12 and free for under-threes.
Ghost walks cost an extra £2.50 and can be bought at www.wentworthwoodhouse.co.uk or on 0114 234 9979.
And there will be spooky goings on when Rotherham’s Clifton Park Museum holds two sessions for children aged five to 12 next Tuesday, October 29, from 11am to 12.30pm and 1.30pm to 3pm.
There will be opportunity to make Halloween themed pottery scary faces with ceramic artist Caroline Lee.
The masks will be glazed and fired and can be collected from the museum shop from November 11.
